A very interesting video about the 40% Agreement prepared by Denis Bourque.
It describes the lands which are included in the 40% Agreement. The 40% includes the Kanata Lakes Golf and Country Club, now owned by ClubLink Corp. As many are aware, Clublink wants to close the golf course and develop that property. The matter is now before the courts, with Clublink challenging the validity of the 40% Agreement (the court hearings are scheduled for July 8-10, 2020 ‘virtually’). As can be seen in this video, the Court’s decision will affect much more than the golf course. Green spaces other than the golf course, many of which are enjoyed by neighbourhoods adjoining the Campeau Lands, will also be affected.
